  • 5 years of professional IT experience, including 5 years working in a hospital/healthcare IT environment.
  • System Administration: Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, user and system administration.
  • Network Administration: TCP/IP, DHCP, VLAN, WLAN, VPN, firewalls, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • IT Support: 1st/2nd-level user support, troubleshooting, hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Backup & Security: Backup management, system security, firewalls, VPNs, data protection, and basic cybersecurity practices.
  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS, GitHub, Docker, Jenkins, and basic CI/CD concepts.
  • Data & Reporting: Python, data analysis, data visualization, report generation, and basic Data Science.
  • Healthcare IT: Experience supporting IT systems and users in a hospital environment and understanding the importance of reliable and secure healthcare systems.
  • Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Data Science training/certification.

  • ICT Officer – Londiani Sub-County Hospital, County Government of Kericho, Kenya – 5 years of professional IT experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Responsible for IT system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, user support, network support, backups, system updates, and technical assistance to hospital staff.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, networking, VPNs, firewalls, backups, hardware/software support, and IT infrastructure.
  • Experienced in report generation, data analysis and visualization to support operational and management decision-making.
  • Practical knowledge of Python, AWS, GitHub, Docker and Jenkins, with an interest in cloud computing, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and additional Data Science certification/training.
  • Experienced working in a professional healthcare environment where system availability, data security, confidentiality and reliable IT support are essential.
