Ihre Aufgaben:
- Develop your skills on both molecular biology and network science by studying the activity of protein networks in patient-derived glioblastoma samples, with the goal of discovery and preclinical validation of new therapeutic strategies for glioblastoma patients
- Conduct experimental research, including:
- Applying CRISPR technology to patient-derived glioblastoma samples to establish an arrayed screening platform
- Performing classical molecular and cell biology techniques (cell-based assays, protein and nucleic acid analysis)
- Generating and analyzing bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing data
- Characterizing and validating drug-protein network interactions within patient-derived models
- Perform bioinformatic analyses to study glioblastoma biology, including:
- Analyzing transcriptomic data
- Applying machine learning (e.g., Random Forest, XGBoost) and network analysis algorithms (e.g. WGCNA, ARACNe) to large scale data
- Applying concepts from network science and systems biology (e.g., complex adaptive systems (CAS), network controllability) to model and control protein network modules in patient-derived experimental samples
- Develop skills in experimental planning and execution
- Mentoring of undergraduate students
- Data presentation at internal meeting and conferences
- Manuscript writing
Ihr Profil:
- We welcome applications from candidates with a Diploma or Master's degree in natural sciences, computational science, network science, or related fields.
- Experience in wet-lab (Molecular and Cell biology techniques) or bioinformatics (R and/or Python) related to the project is desirableWe welcome applications from candidates with a Diploma or Master's degree in natural sciences, computational, but commitment and strong motivation to learn both aspects is essential
