Azure Data Engineer - French or Dutch

We are seeking an Azure Data Engineer fluent in French or Dutch to join our team in Brussels. The role focuses on designing and developing data pipelines on Azure and collaborating with data stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and other Azure services.

• Implement modern data architectures such as Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse.

• Develop and industrialize new business use cases and self‑service data strategies.

• Contribute to the implementation and management of Databricks Unity Catalog, including governance and permissions.

• Monitor, optimize, and cost‑manage Azure and Databricks performance.

• Automate data ingestion, transformation, and deployment processes.

• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders.

• Document data flows, architecture, and best practices.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar data engineering role.

• Strong experience with Azure services (Data Factory, Databricks, Storage, SQL, Key Vault, DevOps) and Unity Catalog.

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, PySpark, and Delta Lake.

• Knowledge of CI/CD principles, monitoring, performance tuning, and cost optimization in Azure.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Azure or Databricks certifications.

• Experience with Power BI administration and governance.

• Experience with real‑time data streaming and Terraform/Infrastructure as Code.

• Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and basic SAP data sources.
