CTYS is a British owned, Hamburg based yacht interior consultancy.

Specialists in supplying household equipment for the interiors of super yachts, we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to step in to keep things running smoothly while one of our valued team members takes maternity leave.

Although this is a fixed term contract, there is potential for an extension or to become permanent.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized **Bookkeeper** with experience using **ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems** to manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, ensure timely posting of transactions, and support month-end and year-end closing processes .

A full time role would include database administration and occasional support with logistics (full training can be provided). Part time role would be purely bookkeeping. 

**Key Responsibilities**

- **Record financial transactions** (sales, purchases, receipts, payments) accurately within the ERP system.
- **Help to reconcile accounts** including bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer ledgers.
- **Monitor accounts payable and receivable** to ensure timely billing and collections.
- **Support month-end and year-end closing** by preparing journal entries, accruals, stock adjustments, and reconciliations.
- **Ensure compliance with German accounting regulations.**
- **Coordinate with our tax accountants** by providing required documentation.
- **Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records** for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
- **Identify process improvements** and help optimize ERP workflows to increase efficiency.

**Qualifications:**

**Education:** Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

**Experience:** Minimum 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in an ERP environment.

Fluent written and spoken English, preferably mother tongue. German language skills are not required.

**Technical Skills:**

- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Prior experience assisting with **system migrations or ERP implementations** is a plus but not essential.

**Soft Skills:**

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn new systems.

**Preferred Attributes**

- Knowledge of **local tax regulations** and compliance requirements.
