As an Applied Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving smart product development and portfolio management through data-driven tools and solutions. With a strong chemical and scientific background, you will bridge the gap between research and advanced analytics to create innovative solutions that shape the future of our business.

Implementing advanced machine learning techniques and data modeling.
Leading customer projects and contributing to R&T's digital strategy.
Enhancing the digital platform PropheSY™ and supporting innovation initiatives.
Aligning data science strategies with Group IT and advising on R&T requirements.
Coordinating stakeholder needs and promoting best practices across teams.
Supporting both cloud and on-premises solutions with scalable, efficient models.
Education & Experience

Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields; or equivalent professional experience.
Solid experience in data science within research and technology environments, ideally with exposure to the chemical, food, or flavor industry.

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in Python and machine learning.
Experience with Databricks, R, or KNIME.
Basic knowledge of DevOps (Git, Docker, Bash).
Familiarity with ModelOps tools (e.g., MLFlow) is a plus.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Proficient in German is highly desirable.

Additional Skills

Project management experience is a plus.
Open to new technologies and ideas.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
