As an **Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/x)**, you will play a key role in the development of next-generation semiconductor test solutions. Working closely with system architects, hardware engineers, application software engineers you will design and implement high-performance software that directly interacts with complex electronic systems. ## Your responsibilities: - Build expertise in the area of Advantest V93000 SmartTest **Digital Device Drivers and Embedded Software**, as well as the underlying hardware architecture - Develop high-performance **embedded software and device drivers** for **Linux-based** systems - Design, implement and optimize **C++ applications** and hardware abstraction layers with a focus on reliability, performance and maintainability - Work with industry-standard interfaces and protocols such as **Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, I²C, and CAN** - Analyze, integrate and troubleshoot hardware-software interactions on complex embedded platforms - Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies and technical solutions - Collaborate closely with **application software** and **hardware engineering** teams in an agile development environment ## Your profile: Must have: - Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field - Few years of professional experience in **Linux**-based **embedded** software development, with expertise in Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, I²C and CAN - Profound knowledge of **object-oriented** design principles and software **architecture**, combined with strong programming skills in **C++17** and later standards - Solid understanding of **operating systems**, **device drivers**, real-time concepts and **HW/SW interaction** - Experience with debugging and performance analysis of embedded platforms - Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop sustainable solutions - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international team Nice to have: - Experience with semiconductor test equipment, industrial automation or measurement systems - Knowledge of Embedded Linux, Yocto, Buildroot or similar platforms - Experience with multicore and multithreaded applications - Experience with Python scripting and automated testing - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices ## What we offer: - A permanent position in an exciting and growing team - Hybrid work model, 2-3 days in office - Flat hierarchies and flexible working hours - Professional training and excellent development opportunities - Attractive salary, a subsidy for the DeutschlandTicket, bike leasing and EGYM Wellpass membership - Regular team and company events We look forward to receiving your **motivation letter, resume** and **degrees**.
