As an Engineer (f/m/d) for environmental data products and service development you will be responsible to complete and support R&D projects of the Research Group (RG) “Decarbonization and Resource Efficiency”. Our main focus is to improve the sustainability performance of Siemens products & solutions as well as driving sustainability as a business by improving Siemens portfolio.
This role will be a **Temporary contract, 12 months from Nov 25 - Nov 26**

**You’ll make an impact by**
- A key aspect of the role will be integrating environmental data into digital platforms or models to support decision-making and sustainability initiatives. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of digital solutions aimed at mitigating and adapting to climate change in urban and industrial environments, as well as addressing its impacts.
- In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing environmental data and identify opportunities to create value by developing digital services and exploring their application across various use cases within the company.
- Communicating results effectively will be an important part of your work, which includes preparing reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders.
- You will be responsible for partnering with all business units in multi-disciplinary teams and will transfer the results into relevant information enabling decision making and continuous improvement of products and solutions.
**Your defining qualities**
- **Education**
You have successfully completed your master’s degree in environmental engineering or data science or have 1-3 years of work experience in a related field.
- **Experience & Skills**
Knowledge with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, or similar, Mendix), ability to clean, process, and analyze datasets efficiently. Familiarity with APIs, AWS, snowflake and data integration for connecting multiple data sources would be a plus.
Moreover, you are a hard-working solution developer who drives decarbonization and resource efficiency.
You have skills in environmental data analysis, material declarations, environmental assessments (LCA) and environmental impact categories.

Through project execution and requirements engineering in cross-disciplinary projects, you have optimally confirmed your knowledge.
Personally, you are characterized by proactive, self-reliant, agile and result-oriented working style.

Proficient language skills in German and English are required.
