You will lead the Civil Construction (CC) function across global energy infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality and cost-conscious execution of construction, installation, and commissioning activities. Your day involves strategic leadership, operational oversight, and driving excellence in compliance, safety, and performance.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

* Define and implement the Civil Construction strategy aligned with Siemens Energy’s project execution framework and applicable standards
* Establish, maintain and foster standardized processes for civil site execution, including but not limited to planning, mobilization and demobilization
* Drive innovation in civil site management practices and digitalization initiatives. Foster lessons learnt and good practice sharing
* Drive change and be part of the Siemens Energy transformation
* Oversee the civil construction scope across all project phases and ensure robust bid strategies
* Develop and enforce global standards for civil works for energy infrastructure works such as HVDC and FACTS
* Develop, foster and monitor global performance metrics for safety, cost, schedule, and quality for the assigned responsibilities
* Act as the interface between Siemens Energy and stakeholders for all Civil Construction matters
* Represent Civil Construction in cross-functional meetings and strategic planning sessions and promote cross functional exchanges
* Ensure transparent communication of risks, opportunities, and lessons learned across projects and through all stages of the project
* Enforce Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm philosophy and EHS regulations on all sites
* Ensure contractual compliance and alignment with global standards for HVDC and other energy infrastructure projects
* Drive recruitment, onboarding, training and development of Civil Site personnel
* Empower teams through training and mentoring, fostering a culture of safety, ownership and continuous improvement
* Ensure transparent communication throughout the project, on project status, risks, opportunities and other project impacts

What You Bring

* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; advanced certifications preferred
* Proven track record in people management, building high performing teams and driving change supported by strong networking ability, communication and strong stakeholder management skills
* Long term experience in site and project management for large-scale EPC projects in energy or industrial sectors
* Eager and curious to learn and actively seek feedback impulses from inside and outside the organization
* Ability to live and foster team cultures
* Deep understanding of project execution with site focus including contract, risk mitigation, and cost control
* Experience w/ working across various functions within a multi-national corporation
* Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
* Willingness to travel internationally
