# Your responsibilities
Location: Dortmund or Bad Soden
- Taking responsibility for Static Equipment undamp; Furnaces and reporting directly to the Global Head of Static Equipment undamp; Furnace and to the Local Head of Engineering, ensuring alignment with global organizational goals and standards.
- Assisting in developing and implementing the discipline strategy in Germany in collaboration with key stakeholders to continuously fulfill the BU’s strategic and operational needs.
- Leading local department of Static Equipment undamp; Furnaces and strengthening the global Engineering network by fostering internal and external collaboration.
- Accountability for quality, schedule, and cost control of Static Equipment undamp; Furnaces related activities in customer projects.
- Responsibility for capacity planning with internal and external resources and a strategy related to Static Equipment undamp; Furnaces scope done internally and scope done by third party in general.
- Providing strategic and operational project guidance by setting appropriate undamp; objective KPIs.
- Strategic workforce planning and development ensuring the right capacity and split for a Static Equipment undamp; Furnaces team.
- Supporting the global head in optimizing processes and tools of the discipline on a global basis, including the digitalization roadmap as well as reviewing local tools and clear decision for way forward in line with QM system.
- Responsible for coordination of QM tasks, evaluation of improvement suggestions and review of work instructions.
- Continuously developing employees’ technical-, methodological- and leadership skills in the right quantity.
- Lead respective discipline development of strategic partners undamp; suppliers together with functions affected (e.g. SPM or other Engineering disciplines).
- Identifying and implementing optimization measures, leveraging standardization, lean, Six Sigma, digitalization, and AI.
- Close collaboration with Sales, Process Technology, Project Management, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning undamp; Fabrication.
- Supporting the global and local resource development by setting individual hiring targets per group within the local department, balancing out the utilization by shifting work packages between locations.
# Your profile
- 10+ years of professional experience in a respective Engineering discipline within chemical industry including a minimum of 6 years in EP/ EPC project execution.
- Advanced knowledge of relevant suppliers, potential partners, and industry trends.
- Knowledge of some of our Process Technologies (e.g. Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Methanol-to-X, biomass gasification).
- Experience in working with corporate decision makers, contractors, and internal undamp; external stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset, able to contribute to strategy development of the Engineering organization.
- Proven records of leading international teams respective intercultural awareness and ability to leverage cultural differences.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with MS Office Package.
- Drive and able to work under high pressure while still meeting highest level of results.
- A strong customer orientation as well as a keen sense of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
