**Reinsurance Controlling (RIC)** consolidates all controlling tasks and related reporting for the reinsurance segment. Its role is to serve as a trusted and impartial advisor to management, providing fair and insightful business analysis.

The **Global IT Controlling (RIC1.2) department** is responsible for planning and monitoring (budget and mid-term planning), as well as accounting and allocating the reinsurance group’s global IT RUN and Transform expenses (both internal and external). The department works closely with the IT Finance functions at ERGO and Group Technology to support the group-wide IT organization and ensure a consistent, global view of IT expenses. Additionally, it is responsible for planning and monitoring the reinsurance group’s investments, including the IT Transform and project portfolio.
 
Within RIC1.2 the section RIC1.2.3 is in charge to assess and monitor all investments and business cases which are in scope of the investment guidelines of the reinsurance segment (but not managed by GIM/MEAG). Overall, the section is in charge to establish a consistent return on investment view incl. all related processes and committees for all investments of the Reinsurance Group.
 
You will have an impact on decisions taken at senior executive and top management level for all businesses in the reinsurance segment. You will influence the future success of RIC as a business partner.
 
 
 
 
 
**Your Job**

- Analysing and assessing business cases and investments (IT and other) from various economic perspectives (IFRS and VBM and Cash Flow view, management and legal view, financial funding etc.)
- Preparing controlling recommendations to the Reinsurance Committee in close cooperation with neighbouring finance functions, the Reinsurance CFO and IT to address  issues in context of economic, risk and accounting perspectives
- Prepare the financial planning and monitoring processes for the IT Transform budget (ITIB) in close cooperation with other RIC teams
- Establish and continuously develop an approach to evaluate and monitor business cases
- Develop and prepare senior management presentations and relevant decision proposals
- Develop analysis and visualization that help business and senior executives in data-driven decision making
- Support with the automation and digitalisation of systems, tools, interfaces and processes to further boost the efficiency
 
 
 
 
 
**Your Profile**
- University degree in an economics discipline
- Several years of experience in finance/controlling
- Sound knowledge of methodologies and metrics of investment and project controlling
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills  
- A passion for data, knowledge of analytical programming (SQL, R, Python, etc.) and visualization / business intelligence tools (PowerBI, etc.)  
- Experience in IT project management as a plus
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
