# Postdoctoral Researcher

**Reference number: 2026/031. A position of postdoctoral researcher on the research project “Reflection Principles and their Epistemic warrant” (Warsaw / Konstanz, NCN / DFG) is to be filled for a fixed term of up to three years starting 1 June 2026. (There is some flexibility in the starting date.) The postdoctoral position will be embedded in the research group for Theoretical Philosophy (Prof. Dr. Leon Horsten) within the Department of Philosophy at the University of Konstanz.**
The University of Konstanz is a dynamic and internationally successful research university with approximately 10,000 students. The campus university’s architecture promotes interdisciplinary cooperation and a sense of community among researchers, lecturers and students. The University of Konstanz has been continuously funded by the German Excellence Strategy since 2006.
In the research project, proof theoretic, set theoretic, and probabilistic reflection principles are investigated from an epistemological and from a formal perspective. The postdoctoral researcher in Konstanz will research, in collaboration with other researchers from the team, set theoretic, and possibly also probabilistic reflection principles from a philosophico-mathematical point of view.
## Your Responsibilities / Opportunities
- Research on set theoretic reflection principles and their epistemic warrant
- Participation in the research activities of the research group
- The opportunity (not an obligation) to teach seminars in the B.A. program and the M.A. program of the department of philosophy
## Your Profile
- Completed a first-rate PhD in formal philosophy or mathematics
- Good problem solving-skills and background in both set theory and the philosophy of set theory
- Formal and philosophical knowledge of probabilistic reflection principles is welcome
- Good English language skills
- Experience in interdisciplinary research is welcome
