**Your responsibilities at SensID (following comprehensive training):**

- Planning, execution, and evaluation of development projects for the introduction of new products as well as further development of existing product lines
- Independent project organization and coordination, including preparation of experimental plans, SOPs, result reports, and final reports
- Supervision and technical guidance of laboratory staff in experimental work
- Participation in method development and validation (e.g., molecular biology or cell-based assays) as well as in technology transfer to production
- Execution and oversight of laboratory work in the areas of cell culture, nucleic acid purification, FFPE processing, and molecular biology methods (e.g., qPCR/dPCR, NGS analyses, gel electrophoresis)
- Performance of statistical analyses and preparation of data for internal and external presentations
- Documentation of work in compliance with applicable quality standards (DIN EN ISO 13485)
- Close collaboration with Production, Quality Control, and Technical Support to implement and optimize processes
- Support in the technical management and introduction of new laboratory equipment
- Contribution to the implementation of automation and digitalization processes
- Technical support in project applications, technical inquiries, and internal audits
- Training of new employees and supervision, guidance of technical staff

**What we expect from you...**

- Completed degree in life sciences (e.g., Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Molecular Genetics, or related disciplines), ideally with a PhD or equivalent qualification
- Experience in research & development of molecular biology or cell biology products – ideally in the IVD/medical device sector or in a biotechnology company
- Preferably several years of hands-on experience in NGS and/or PCR, preferably in a clinical context/molecular pathology
- Practical experience with cell culture techniques (suspension/adherent cell lines, primary cells, immortalization); molecular biology methods: PCR, qPCR, (d)dPCR, nucleic acid extraction, quality analysis (fragment analysis, gel electrophoresis)
- Proven experience in:
- Planning and execution of development projects
- Supervising and coordinating technical staff
- Preparing and evaluating experimental plans
- Statistical data analysis and documentation of results
- (Desirable) preparation of funding applications
- Fluent German skills, good English skills (spoken and written)
- Good proficiency in MS Office
- Curiosity and willingness to take on new challenges
- A high sense of quality, organized and precise work ethic, and good workplace organization
- A high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently
- Strong analytical skills combined with creativity, teamwork abilities, and a collaborative mindset
- Desirable: Experience working in a standards-regulated environment (ISO 9001, 13485, 17025, GMP, GLP) as well as in a BSL-2
