Our "Project Execution"-Team in Düsseldorf is looking for YOU! * Develop and continuously enhance the overarching commissioning strategy for complex infrastructure projects, aligning commissioning objectives with project requirements, safety standards, operational readiness, schedule, quality, and regulatory requirements. * Provide strategic oversight of commissioning planning, execution, and quality assurance, including schedule, resource, interface, readiness, escalation, and performance management across relevant project phases. * Establish and continuously improve standardized commissioning frameworks, processes, procedures, guidelines, and digital solutions, ensuring consistent application of best practices across projects and effective collaboration with Engineering, Construction, HSE, Operations, Procurement, and Contract Management. * Define commissioning governance, organizational structures, roles, responsibilities, and competency requirements, while providing technical leadership, guidance, and development for commissioning managers, commissioning leads, and subject-matter specialists. * Lead commissioning resource and capability planning, including forecasting future requirements, supporting recruitment and selection, and strengthening organizational capabilities through structured development, onboarding, knowledge sharing, and succession planning. * Monitor commissioning performance, readiness, risks, and key dependencies at portfolio level, using management reviews, reporting, maturity assessments, and performance indicators to identify deviations, drive corrective actions, and provide clear recommendations to project and senior management. * Coordinate critical interfaces across project delivery, operations, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring early operational involvement and clear alignment on handover requirements, documentation, training, testing, outstanding items, trial operations, and final acceptance. * Drive continuous improvement and organizational learning in commissioning, establishing effective lessons-learned processes, analyzing project close-out data and performance metrics, and translating insights into improved standards, capabilities, and best practices for future projects. * University degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline. * Extensive professional and leadership experience in commissioning, plant engineering, or the delivery of complex technical infrastructure projects, ideally within the energy sector. * Proven ability to strategically plan, structure, and oversee complex commissioning organizations across multiple projects, interfaces, disciplines, and stakeholder groups. * Strong expertise in developing and implementing processes, standards, governance frameworks, and quality management systems within complex technical project environments. * Demonstrated experience in leading, developing, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including involvement in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development of technical key roles. * Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to engage confidently and effectively with project leadership, senior management, technical functions, suppliers, contractors, and external partners. * Strong management and decision-making capabilities, combined with a high level of accountability and the ability to proactively identify risks, dependencies, and critical issues and escalate them appropriately to the relevant decision-makers. * Fluent written and spoken German and English, with a willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required, particularly for management reviews, audits, and key project milestones. career@uniper.energy
