THE ROLE & THE TEAM In the Size and Fit Engineering team, we fulfill customer's everyday fashion needs through engaging customer experience and deep customer understanding, one where the products in the parcel live up to the customer's expectations. We make this happen by solving one of the most important online customer problems - Size and Fit. Through customization and innovation we serve the unique needs of Zalando customers shopping core fashion categories. 

As a Software Engineer in the Size and Fit Team, you will be part of a core team developing products and production infrastructure to provide customers with the best size and fit experience thanks to data-driven recommendations.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IFSelf driven engineer who shares passion for helping customers find the right fit

Understand the properties of large scale distributed systems and have proven track record in building and delivering mission critical, 24x7 production software systems

Experience of writing production applications in Go lang

Experience with creating and consuming APIs (e.g. RESTful, GraphQL)

Familiarity with containerization technologies, in particular Docker and Kubernetes

Passion for writing clean, maintainable and simple code

Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to discuss technical architecture and designs with other senior and principal engineers 

Experience in Data Engineering, especially with Databricks and Feature Stores will be considered a significant advantage.


NICE TO HAVEExperience with frontend technologies is a plus, in particular React, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript

Experience with Python is a plus

Experience with Java is a plus
