Key Responsibilities will include:

- Define and lead the medical strategy for the therapeutic area, aligning with global and regional business goals.
- Serve as the internal expert on disease biology, treatment landscape, and evolving standards of care.
- Anticipate and address the needs of local stakeholders (patients, HCPs, payers) by providing scientific expertise and supporting disease awareness initiatives
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant experts and Patient Advisory Groups, executing educational events and advisory boards
- Drive local medical projects in collaboration with global and local teams, including real-world evidence generation and stakeholder engagement
- Act as primary liaison with local advocacy organizations and patient groups, gathering patient insights and supporting patient-centric approaches
- Plan and lead local patient organization engagement, including activities at major congresses in collaboration with internal teams
- Support company-sponsored trials during all phases from initiation until completion. Drive measures to support investigators and recruitment during studies
- Develop and review medical initiatives and content for communications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with access teams to analyze the local patient advocacy landscape, identify relevant stakeholders and represent the company externally at GBA/GKV-SV meetings
- Ensure compliance with laws, guidelines, and internal policies in all medical and advocacy activities
- Contribute to and review medical marketing strategies and materials.
- Respond to medical inquiries and support scientific publications.


Who you are:

- Advanced degree in medical sciences (MD, PhD) or at least 3 years of relevant clinical experience, ideally with medical affairs and/or patient advocacy background
- 5+ years of experience in Medical Affairs in rare oncology or related rare diseases, with patient advocacy focus preferred
- Proven experience in patient engagement and communications strategies for disease awareness and patient access
- Relevant experience in G-BA assessments preferred
- Knowledge of local healthcare environment and patient advocacy landscape
- Strong organizational, negotiation, and communication skills with ability to build collaborative relationships with external stakeholders
- Field experience is an advantage, along with strong teamwork skills and practical knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Openness to domestic and international travel 30-40%
- Fluency in English and German
