Sr Software Development Engineer - Query Processing (m/w/d) Salary: 35000 - 56000 EUR per year. At Amazon Europe Core we are looking for a DevOps engineer! Our tech stack: AWS, Redshift, Cloud, Data Warehouse, EC2, IoT, Support, SQL, Security, Web. Requirements: - Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
- Masters degree in computer science or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations (preferred)
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers (preferred). Your responsibilities are: - Participate in the design and development of state-of-the-art SQL query processing engines
- Define query rewrite rules and optimize query execution time in distributed databases
- Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards
