As an intern for the Technical Program Manager team, you will be part of one of the most creative and dynamic engineering teams. Under proper guidance, you will have direct responsibility for designing, developing and supporting the many competing needs within our vehicle engineering organization. You'll be part of a fast-paced environment, tackling extremely difficult engineering challenges and continuously push beyond what was deemed impossible.
You will work on projects involving vehicle dynamics, chassis systems, and gain hands-on experience with advanced engineering tools and methodologies. This internship offers the chance to tackle real-world challenges and make a meaningful impact on Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy.
What You’ll Do:
• Support the vehicle engineering organization by setting the right priorities in an environment with many competing needs, as well as managing executions of timely delivery of products, product revisions, features, fixes, and releases
• Support the various design teams within the vehicle engineering organization with critical design issues in production, managing timelines on upcoming design changes, organizing prototype builds, and tracking critical KPIs for the team
What You’ll Bring:
• Currently working towards a degree in a relevant engineering program such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or related degree
• A detail-oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills
• C1 level in English both written and spoken
• Solid grasp on engineering fundamentals, such as thermal dynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mechanics and electronics
• Experience solving open-ended engineering problems
• Motivated, active collaborator
• Proven interest in Tesla's mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, through extracurricular activities, academic projects, passion projects, or equivalent experiences
• The role requires problem-solving skills, exceptional teamwork, and communication skills as you will be working with many cross-functional teams
