Then support us in Munich with max. 20 hours per week as working student in our team “Credit Risk Reports & Data” in UniCredit Bank GmbH.
The “Reports & Data” team is the hub for data, analyses and innovative credit risk projects at UniCredit Bank GmbH. We use big data, advanced analytics and business intelligence solutions. In this way, we increase efficiencies and uncover previously inaccessible information in a standardized, transparent and addressee-friendly manner . We actively support the digital transformation of the entire UniCredit Group, from identifying use-cases for interactive visualizations , through evaluation and implementation to roll-out for users. We work in close collaboration with other departments of the bank, UniCredit Holding and its other legal entities.
What you can expect from us
As a working student – Data Visualization & Analysis in our Credit Risk Reports & Data team, you will work with large, highly granular credit risk datasets and support the development and maintenance of our fully automated reporting pipelines. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- for daily/monthly dashboards using SQL, including data extraction from databases, transformation logic, complex table joins, and creation of calculated fields.
- Supporting in creation of key dashboards with strong focus on clear, insightful and, understandable storytelling.
- Ensuring data integrity , validating outputs, and performing analyses in case of deviations.
- Contributing to the design of robust, precise and reproducible data analytics workflows.
This role involves working with complex credit risk concepts, requiring precision, curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to independently research and understand underlying methodologies.
What we expect from you
We are looking for a candidate who already brings proven practical, hands-on experience in data processing and analytics. The ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
- Ongoing master’s studies in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Proven professional experience with data analysis, databases and SQL is mandatory (e.g. working student, internship), and practical knowledge of at least one programming language is a prerequisite (SAS, python, RStudio, etc.).
- Practical experience in creating dashboards or analytical reports with BI tools (preferably SAS Visual Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau), as well as the ability to build meaningful visualizations with clear storytelling.
- Understanding of coding principles for recurring data extractions and transformations, including writing reusable code, defining and building standardized logics, and designing abstraction layers that can be applied across multiple use cases.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail , and the ability to structure and solve complex tasks.
- Clear interest in financial services or risk management , demonstrated through studies and internships.
Fluent English (C1) and at least intermediate German (B2) are required.
