Working Student - Flight Dynamics (all genders)

ABOUT THE ROLEJoin our Flight Physics team and help evaluate the flight dynamics of novel eVTOL aircraft across the entire flight envelope, from hover through transition to wingborne flight. You will work with our flight dynamics model, develop analysis code, and turn simulation and test results into documented findings.Working closely with our Flight Operations and Flight Control teams, you will support analyses using both simulator and real flight test data. This working student position offers a fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Perform flight dynamics analyses, including trimming, linearization, and investigations of controllability and flying qualities

• Contribute to our flight dynamics model and advance our analysis and automation code base

• Document analysis methods and results, and support the preparation of flight dynamics reports

• Analyse simulator and flight test data in collaboration with Flight Operations and Flight Control teams

• Validation of flight dynamics related requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

• Current enrolment in a master’s programme in aerospace engineering or a comparable technical discipline

• A solid background in flight mechanics

• Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink

• Basic experience with Git or a similar version control system

• A practical, self-driven approach and a structured way of working

• Curiosity about electric aviation and novel aircraft concepts

• Excellent written and spoken English

Moreover, it would be helpful if you also

• have a general understanding of airworthiness requirements, particularly those concerning flight mechanics

• bring knowledge of software development
