The institute combines all the necessary specialized expertise – from the creative design of new materials, their synthesis in the lab to their physical characterization as well as the theoretical understanding of polymer characteristics.
We are looking for:
Administrative Assistant (part-time, permanent) for the Research Department “Machine Learning in Chery”
Start date: as soon as possible, by mutual agreement.
Responsibilities:
* General secretarial and administrative duties for the Research Department, including organising business trips for group members.
* Technical and organisational support for meetings and small events (room bookings, catering coordination, participant communication).
* Maintaining regular contact with the local administrative units of the Max Planck Institute and the general administration of the Max Planck Society.
* Local administrative support for visitors and new group members (e.g., hiring-related processes in coordination with administration and assistance in finding accommodation).
* Reporting to the Scientific Coordinator of the Department.
Your profile:
* Completed vocational training as an office administrator or comparable qualification, or a completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or initial professional experience in an assistant, office management, or administration role, ideally in an academic or research environment.
* Fluency in written and spoken German and English.
* Excellent organisational skills, a strong eye for detail, and a reliable, deadline-oriented way of working.
* Confident use of common office software and online tools; openness to participating in and organising online meetings.
* A pronounced service orientation, strong communication skills, and a cooperative team spirit.
