-*WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT*-
Due to the strategic realignment of the Coatings business unit, a dedicated
Legal, Compliance & Insurance department is being established. This
presents an exciting opportunity to develop and shape the Legal, Compliance
& Insurance organization from its foundation.
· In your new role, you support the development of the strategy and the
target operating model for the Legal, Compliance & Insurance department of
the Coatings division on a global level.
· You develop and implement tools and processes to optimize the
department’s workflows.
· Furthermore, you establish a system for managing and supervising
external law firms (outside counsel management) and oversee its
implementation.
· You coordinate an internal risk management and ensure alignment of
relevant measures across the organization.
· In addition, you assume responsibility for budgeting, controlling and
cost allocation for Legal, Compliance & Insurance at the global level.
· You also design and operate knowledge management systems and support the
development and roll-out of the Legal, Compliance and Insurance
department’s digital and AI roadmap.
-*WHAT YOU OFFER*-
· university degree in law (German first and second state examination)
· at least 5-10 years of experience in a multinational company
· at least 5 years of experience in legal operation of a legal department
· strong expertise in one or more areas of legal operation in a legal
department
· ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external
stakeholders is key to success in this role
· excellent communication skills in English and German, as well as strong
analytical and negotiation skills; additional languages are a plus
