The Account Manager (f/m/d) is responsible for leading and delivering sales strategy in their assigned territory.


The position reports to the Director, European Sales and is part of the EMEA Sales Team. This position will be fully remote, with regular travel required.


The Account Manager (f/m/d) is responsible for leading and delivering the sales strategy in their assigned territory. This role will own the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) with a strong emphasis on developing new business in an high-potential market. The position requires a driven commercial sales professional who is motivated by opening doors, building market presence, and establishing IDBS as a strategic partner across the biopharma and biotech landscape.


The position reports to the Director, European Sales and is part of the EMEA Sales Team. This position will be fully remote in Germany, with regular travel required.


In this new-business-focused role, the successful candidate will build their business by identifying, engaging, and converting mid- to large-size accounts across the region. You will play a critical part in accelerating growth in a territory that has strong potential and several high-value targets to be approached.


Assume territorial and account management responsibilities and develop regional prospect pipelines for accounts in the region, representing both assigned biopharma and biotech accounts



Expand commercial relationships with existing clients for both existing and new offerings from IDBS



Own the development and execution of account plans for target accounts. Develop and progress new pipeline within the territory to achieve regional and personal targets



Effectively promote and educate targeted accounts on the challenges the industry is facing and how IDBS provides solutions to positively impact their business through effective one-on-one meetings, group presentations, and company-approved industry conferences, etc.



Ensure solid performance levels of call and field productivity. Achieve regional sales goals while adhering to all defined ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines and required promotional regulations




Experienced in SaaS Sales and can navigate a 12-18-month sales cycle



Accustomed to dealing with complex deals and multiple stakeholders including VP and C-Level decision makers



Experience with a sales methodology, Challenger Sale preferred



Scientific and Scientific Sales background; Life science sales preferred, informatics.



Fluency in English and German
