We are looking for a passionate scientist to support our research chemistry department in Heidelberg, Germany. Are you an enthusiastic chemist with a profound interest in research? Are you excited to apply scientific creativity and innovation to help identify new drugs that improve patients’ lives?
If so, this full-time position may be your next dream job:
Designing, executing, and reporting of research chemistry studies
Synthesis of reagents and potential lead candidates according to communicated timelines
Synthesis of small molecules, peptides and prodrugs
Development of research synthesis processes and screenings, and interpretation of results
Proactive contributions to new projects, ideas or concepts
Safeguard of intellectual property
Active participation in interdisciplinary project meetings (presentation & discussion of complex results)
Facilitate internal transfers from research to development and support transfers to external CMOs
You hold a PhD in chemistry, and preferably have additional experience e.g. as a PostDoc in chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences or the pharmaceutical industry
You possess excellent communication and social skills and are a strong team player
You are creative, innovative, and interested in learning new skills
You are well organized, self-dependent and reliable
You possess proactive problem-solving skills, which enable you to identify problems or challenges and solve them in a team effort
As a person you bring positive energy, enjoy exploring new tasks and find paths beyond the beaten track
You have a very good command of English, both written and spoken
You possess good German language skills and can follow and hold a conversation in German
