As a Data Architect at DISH, you will shape our next‑generation data infrastructure and governance foundation. You’ll collaborate with engineers, analysts, data scientists, and product teams to create data solutions that elevate the HoReCa industry.Menu of ResponsibilitiesThis role is part of our Data Insights Team, consisting of 3 Centers of Excellence (CoE) and one platform team. You will be responsible for:
• Leading the architectural design and evolution of our GCP-based data platform, including standards and long‑term strategy.
• Driving data governance initiatives around cataloging, metadata, access control, and privacy compliance.
• Building and maintaining a DBT-powered data quality framework with testing, SLAs, and data contracts.
• Designing scalable data architectures and pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and modern ETL/ELT practices.
• Developing ML and GenAI capabilities using tools such as Vertex AI, Model Garden, LangChain, and LangGraph.
• Delivering scalable data products, implement DBT/Airflow workflows and API ingestion pipelines, and ensure strong observability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Ingredients for Success
• Deep knowledge of data architecture patterns: dimensional modeling, data vault, and modern warehouse/lakehouse approaches.
• Strong background in data governance frameworks: data quality monitoring, lineage, metadata, and master data management.
• Advanced proficiency in DBT, including custom macros, testing approaches, packages, and documentation standards.
• Practical experience designing and operating distributed or large‑scale data systems.
• Expert‑level skills in Python and SQL, including performance optimization and query tuning.
• Hands-on experience with GCP data services (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, IAM) and familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Java.
