Job description
Developing new physical designs for silicon Power MOSFETs ¿ being responsible for the definition of the design environment of a new technology, developing electrical characterization structures, test programs and characterization methods to monitor the electrical performances ¿ sounds like the right challenge for you? This is your chance: become part of our success story and join us as Technology Development Engineer of Silicon-Power-MOSFETs for voltage classes in the range of 60V to 300V with focus on Physical Design. As a technical expert within the technology development team, you will ensure that the requirements from the process sequence and tolerances are addressed by the masks design in order to meet target electrical performances, from the concept definition till the successful transition into volume production.
In you new job you will:
- Design variations of new technology platforms together with technology development engineers
- Generate multi-chip designs, PCM structures, design rule checkers, mask definitions and design manuals
- Be responsible for the full documentation of layout designs , technology design manuals, PCM layout and electrical data
- Improve design generation by design automation (e.g. SKILL, PCells)
- Define the PCM test program and verify PCM measurement
- Conduct specific lab testing including documentation of results
- Work as a team member in technology development and innovation projects
- Bring in your own ideas for innovative technology designs

You drive your tasks with engagement, passion and pro-activeness. You are personally committed to the customer¿s concerns, awarding them a high priority and are capable to resolve technical issues until completion. Your strong communication skills and
team player mindset support you in your work within interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A university degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or comparable, candidates from vocational college/school (e.g. HTL) with matching knowledge, skills and experience will also be considered
- Sound knowledge in semiconductor process technology, semiconductor physics and MOSFET electrical behavior as a must
- Basic programming skills and interest for scripts (ex: Python, SKILL), familiar with Unix environment
- Experience with Power MOSFETs and Analog/Mixed-Signal layout design using EDA tools (Cadence)
- Experience with electrical characterization techniques (prober station) advantageous
- Excellent English communication skills with German skills and/or willingness to learn it as plus
We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group G (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter-2019). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
