-*RESPONSIBILITIES*-
As an Expert for Short Term Trading you are responsible for developing
structures and support build-up of a team for manual and/or automated
intraday trading.
· You trade in day-ahead and intraday to manage our renewables portfolio,
BASF-owned CHP power plants, and site demand.
· You develop optimization strategies for renewable power production from
own assets based on continuous analysis of multiple market and weather data
sources to derive trading decisions and strategies to maximize our P&L.
· Furthermore, you challenge existing solutions and processes.
· You ensure and develop operations management within the business
management team including market access and balancing models.
· In addition, you integrate BASF-owned CHP power plants, renewables
projects and PPA contracts in the BASF Renewable Energy business model.
-*QUALIFICATIONS*-
· completed university studies in physics, mathematics, computer science,
engineering, or economics
· experience in short term energy trading
· excellent knowledge about power markets and regulations in EU countries
· experience in and understanding of power markets as well as in building
of new business
· proactive entrepreneurial attitude, strong orientation on results with a
commercial mindset, Can-Do mentality, and ability to work independently and
under time pressure
· team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· excellent language skills in English written and spoken; German is a
plus
