**Job Description:**
The Finance Controller Germany will be a member of the EMEA Finance team and the Business Unit Germany and will report directly to the EMEA Controller.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive controller who will be responsible for leading all day-to-day accounting activities for our operations in Germany. In addition, the role will lead the month end close process from start to finish and ensure proper financial reporting for our Germany business. You will proactively lead the discussions on contract reviews, financial analysis, control performances and work together in a seamless and professional manner.

**As the Controller Germany, you will:**
• lead the day to day work of external & internal parties supporting on the accounting as well as
being responsible for the complete accounting process for Germany
• develop the financial administration for Germany
• lead the local financial statement close process (US GAAP and HGB) and be responsible for
reporting monthly results and analysis
• develop long standing trusted relationships with various internal and external parties and
collaborate seamlessly in a professional manner to ensure financial compliance in Germany
• develop, lead and implement process improvement intiatives for Germany
• lead statutory and group audit procedures and perform efficient audit management
• develop efficient and effective internal control structure for Germany
• lead SOX compliance and reporting for Germany
• consider and balance technical accounting requirements and operational business needs

**REQUIRED SKILLS**

The ideal candidate has a master’s degree in accounting or business administration and at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, having started her/his career at a large international accounting advisory firm, followed by in-house experience. You will need to be hands-on and a pro-active self-starter
with a proven track record of grit and determination to drive process improvements.

**You will have:**
• in-depth knowledge of US and HGB regulations
• experience in creating financial statements for HGB purposes
• attention for detail and can connect financial and operational compliance requirements
• strong analytical skills
• Wirtschaftsprüfer (WP) license is considered a strong plus
• experience with ASC-606 and percentage of completion construction agreements
• good communicator, good stakeholder management skills and a proactive personality
• ability to work in a dynamic organization, embracing change and working independently
• fluent English and German verbal and written language skills are required
• SAP experience is a plus

**ERFORDERLICHE FÄHIGKEITEN**

Die ideale Kandidatin/der ideale Kandidat verfügt über einen Master-Abschluss in Rechnungswesen oder Betriebswirtschaft sowie mindestens 8 Jahre fortschreitende Buchhaltungserfahrung, beginnend bei einer großen internationalen Wirtschaftsprüfungs- oder Beratungsfirma, gefolgt von Inhouse-Erfahrung. Sie/Er sollte praktisch veranlagt und ein proaktiver Self-Starter mit nachweisbarer Hartnäckigkeit und Entschlossenheit zur Umsetzung von Prozessverbesserungen sein.

• Fundierte Kenntnisse der US- und HGB-Vorschriften
• Erfahrung in der Erstellung von Jahresabschlüssen nach HGB

• Starke analytische Fähigkeiten
• Wirtschaftsprüfer (WP)-Lizenz ist ein deutlicher Pluspunkt
