A Snapshot of Your Day 

Join us as the Head of Turbine Operations (f/m/d), where you will lead a dynamic global team of over 30 professionals across the Turbine Operations West (US) and Turbine Operations East (Germany) departments. In this pivotal role, you will manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellence in turbine engineering operations and project execution. You will coach and support turbine projects, drive strategic workforce planning, and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality results. Your leadership will be essential in harmonizing global processes and ensuring the success of turbine projects across various locations. 

How You’ll Make an Impact 

* Lead and inspire: Provide professional and disciplinary leadership to the Turbine Operations department, fostering an environment of innovation, collaboration, and high performance among over 30 technical project managers focused on blades and vanes development
* In a dual lead role, you will also manage the Turbine Operations East team in Germany, which consists of more than 15 team members, while overseeing the manager of Turbine Operations West
* Drive the turbine strategic workforce planning and engineering outsourcing strategy, proactively identifying and resolving staffing issues while prioritizing hiring and onboarding
* Coach teams facing challenges, technically support turbine projects, and ensure high-quality project execution within the R&D PM @ Siemens framework
* Spearhead improvement projects across the turbine department and support global harmonization initiatives, such as the PPQ improvement project
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, service, procurement, and program management to meet project and operational goals

What You Bring

* A university degree or equivalent in engineering
* Extensive experience in R&D project management or line management, with a preference for experience in gas turbine design
* Proven ability to lead and develop global teams, drive strategic initiatives, and manage complex projects effectively
* A deep understanding of design activities related to gas turbine projects, including aerodynamics, heat transfer, mechanical integrity, mechanical design, manufacturing, and service
* Strong communication, intercultural awareness, and presentation skills
* Willingness to travel internationally to the US and India, as well as domestically
* Fluency in English and German (spoken and written)

About the Team

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
