Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
As a Staff Software System Application Engineer for Motor Control, you push ideas to their full implementation and application. Furthermore, you anticipate even the future needs of customers and engage actively with the customer about these needs. Lastly, you cooperate across boundaries and appreciate the contributions of other people.
* Support design-in / win of discrete and ICs products at application level with direct customer interaction
* Design customized system solutions including hardware and embedded software for battery powered applications / low voltage motor control
* Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and bench validation based on customer application requirements; generate reference schematics, BOM, PCB layout guidelines, and test reports. Additionally, create professional training material and train customers on products and system concepts
* Evaluate competitor's products and demonstrate transition to IFX-based solutions
* Develop know-how on motor control applications, work closely with both our customer's and Infineon engineers to capture requirements for future products
* Work cross-functionally with Marketing, R&D and Account Teams to create suitable solutions
* Visit customers in EMEA region for technical discussions and to provide trainings
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
* University Degree (Master) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Development or equivalent
* 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience within the semiconductor industry, electronics or similar functions with customer exposure
* Strong knowledge of system-level design and architecture (incl. embedded domain), as well as good know how on power electronics (eg. Mosfet)
* Familiar with microcontrollers (eg. XMC and PSoC) and its peripherals for motor-control; Programming skills (C, C#), solid problem-solving and debugging skills in C
* Familiar with motor control theory, as well as experience in layout tools (Altium Designer) and simulation tools (Simetrix, Pspice) is a plus
* Fluent English skills with German skills as a plus
* Available for business travels
For Austria location: We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H-I (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
