WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Responsible for performing professional process engineering research, development and evaluation in semiconductor environment
* Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of products including in-house lab demonstrations
* Conceives and plans projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches
* Works with customer and senior engineers cross functionally to understand roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues/ challenges.
* Acts as customer technology manager in the planning, data collection, analysis and reporting
* Acts as single point of contact accountable for process related customer requests
* Drives introduction and evaluation of new technologies at customer sites including new tool qualifications
Other Job Responsibilities
* Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
* Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed
* Flexibility to travel to meet business requirements (<25% of the time)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* MSc in in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics with 3+ years of Process Engineer experience in the semiconductor industry in the field of wet clean/advanced packaging
* Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory, having experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques
* In-depth understanding and experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
* Excellent social skills with ability to work within diverse teams
* Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities, able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
* Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills in English
WHAT WE ARE OFFERING
This position is subject to the https://www.metalltechnischeindustrie.at/fileadmin/content/Dokumente/Kollektivvertrag/KV-2025_2026/FMTI_Mindesgehaltstabelle_2025.pdf in the occupation group E depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
WORKING HOURS
Flexitime model 38,5 hours/week, Core hours (Mo-Th 9-15, Fr 9-11:30)
