The Senior Risk Management Division is the internal Risk Management unit for international banks, insurances and investment companies.
Our team is focused on managing and analyzing their creditworthiness, i.e., we monitor the market development, perform internal ratings, approve and grant credit lines as part of the credit process and monitor them on an ongoing basis. We have constant exposure to capital market participants by providing them the necessary strategic advice and analysis of the relevant counterparties.
What you can expect from us
You will work on meaningful tasks such as:
· support the credit officer by analyzing counterparty risk and credit process
· research regarding financial institutions sector information
· support the team with ad-hoc requests
· project work with focus on actual topics from the financial institution environment and process improvement (depending on the duration of your internship)
You will learn and gain:
· Deep understanding of credit processes and risk management in a leading bank
· Hands-on experience with financial institution analysis
· Opportunity to improve IT and AI skills, including advanced use of tools like Power Automate, VBA, Copilot etc.
· Exposure to cross-functional projects, sometimes taking a lead role
· Development of communication and collaboration skills in an international team
What we expect from you
- Bachelor or Master student of Business Administration, Economics or related study area with specialization in Finance
- Very good to good academic achievement
- Initial work experience ideally in the banking sector
- English language skills (C1 level)
- German language skills (B1 level)
- Excellent skills in MS Office
- Confident in using AI tools (Co-Pilot) and skilled in advanced promting
- Programming skills in VBA, Power Automate beneficially
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and structured
- Ability to think analytically and strategically
