We, the BMW Group, offer you an exciting and diverse internship in the field of vehicle architecture and concept development. Our team is dedicated to shaping the future of automotive design through innovative methods and advanced software tools. We develop strategies and parametric models that ensure technical feasibility while integrating business, legal, and functional requirements. During your internship, you will contribute within a highly interdisciplinary environment and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across the organization.


What awaits you?

- You will support our project team in developing new methods and software tools for architecture and car design.
- Furthermore, you help to design car architectures and vehicle concepts for the entire BMW product portfolio.
- In addition, you contribute to strategies that ensure technical plausibility in a multidisciplinary field of requirements.
- Moreover, you will assist in integrating business, customer, and legal requirements into our concepts.
- You help to develop intelligent parametric models considering CAx design, data analysis, and functional requirements.
- Furthermore, you support networking with various stakeholders and gain insight into method and car architecture development.


What should you bring along?

- Studies in mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or equivalent.
- Experience with Python, Matlab, and visual programming languages (e.g. Synera).
- Knowledge of DoE and optimization methods.
- Design experience and knowledge of CAx systems.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for technical topics, methods, and scientific approaches.
- German and good English skills.
