What you'll do:


We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Java Developer Associate, who is curious to learn and likes to work in a SaaS Commerce team delivering cloud software. You’ll design, build, test, deploy, and support high-quality components with a strong emphasis on business value, performance, security, and maintainability.


As a member of our Team, you will contribute to our SaaS commerce team by delivering features end-to- end across the stack. You’ll design, build, test, deploy, and support high-quality components with a strong emphasis on testability, performance, security, and maintainability.


As a Java Developer Associate you will work in a Scrum team with a diverse mix of highly motivated young and mature talents focused on Java and cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, Docker and Kubernetes with the following tasks:

- Assist in developing backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and SAP CAP (Java)
- Design and write automated tests
- Support front-end development using e.g. Angular
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and bug fixing activities
- Collaborate with team members in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies
- Maintain and enhance technical documentation as part of development tasks
- Cooperate with members of the wider product development team across multiple international locations
- Continuously learn and self-develop
- Stay current with emerging technologies and tools relevant to SAP and cloud development, especially using AI capabilities


What you'll bring:


- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in quantitative field – preferably Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Practical knowledge of the Java programming language with Spring framework
- Good communication skills and fluency in English
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies, frameworks, etc.
- Capability and willingness to work effectively in a team and follow best development practices
- Experience with Frontend development (e.g. Java Script, Angular and modern web technologies) is a plus
