### Purpose of your Job
As a Junior Business Controller, you will support Coriolis’ financial planning, reporting, and analysis activities, ensuring accurate and timely insights that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Business Controller and cross-functional teams, contributing to budgets and forecasts, monitoring key performance indicators, and helping improve project profitability.
You will play a key role in optimizing financial processes, maintaining data integrity, and supporting the continuous improvement of our business operations.
**Your Responsibility**
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) and highlight variances.
- Contribute to project cost reviews, margin analysis, and profitability assessments.
Reporting & Insights
- Support the preparation of management reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and update financial models, dashboards, and databases.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making.
Process Optimization & Controls
- Assist in improving financial processes and ensuring data accuracy.
- Support compliance monitoring and internal audit preparation.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams such as R&D, Operations, and HR to gather financial data and understand business drivers.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to improve cost efficiency and resource allocation.
Additional Tasks
- Support the integration of new tools and systems (e.g., ERP upgrades, BI tools).
- Assist in preparing business cases and investment proposals.
- Contribute to sustainability and ESG-related financial reporting.
- Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance financial literacy across the organization.
### What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certifications (CPA, CMA) are a plus
- Some practical experience in financial analysis, controlling, or accounting (e.g., internship or working student role) preferred
- Strong Excel skills and basic knowledge of data analysis or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) beneficial
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
- Understanding of fundamental financial principles and willingness to learn industry-specific regulation trends
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Very good communication skills in German and English, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
