EvoZero is the world's first near-zero cement produced via full-chain CCS, and Heidelberg Materials is scaling the commercial model globally. To support this growth, we are looking for a Manager, Commercial Strategy & Excellence (f/m/d)- a structured thinker who will act as the VP's right hand on pricing, market intelligence, commercial governance, and strategic pursuits. The position is based at our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany.

This role shapes evoZero's pricing architecture, develops value narratives for priority sectors like hyperscalers and developers, and drives commercial excellence. The ideal candidate brings consulting-level problem-solving, strong analytical skills, and the ability to turn complexity into clear, actionable guidance for global teams.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE



1. Global Pricing Architecture & Governance

- Develop and maintain the global price architecture for evoZero cement, concrete, and EACs.

- Implement pricing governance: price corridors, discount rules, approval matrices, and deal desk routines.

- Translate DNV, EPD, EAC, and mass-balance rules into simple, commercially usable pricing guidance.



2. Value Framing & Commercial Enablement

- Build the value justification for evoZero's premium, including proof points (DNV, Carbon Bank, permanence).

- Create concise sales enablement materials: value narratives, comparison frameworks, pricing playbooks.

- Support country teams with clear, consistent messaging and structured commercial tools.



3. Market Intelligence & Business Case Modelling

- Track CO₂ abatement markets, comparable credit pricing, regional benchmarks, and competitor intelligence.

- Maintain price intelligence dashboards and insights for executive decision-making.

- Build business case models, including a Carbon ROI Calculator, to support customer and investor discussions.



4. Strategic Pursuit Support (key sectors: Hyperscalers, Developers, Infrastructure)

- Provide analytical support for high-stakes negotiations

- Structure commercial options, long-term pricing, and value/storyline for pilots and offtake agreements.

- Prepare executive-ready materials and ensure alignment across Legal, Sustainability, Digital, and Finance.



5. Commercial Excellence & Team Productivity

- Act as a structured problem-solving partner to the VP, enabling focus on the highest-value topics.

- Improve team productivity by organising priorities, building templates, and coaching junior talent.

- Strengthen global-local ways of working through frameworks, processes, and communication.



YOUR PROFILE



- 3-6+ years at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or in a strategy/commercial excellence role.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with ability to structure complex topics.

- Experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or market/financial modelling.

- Exposure to decarbonisation, sustainability, CCS, CO₂ markets, or industrial value chains is a strong plus.

- Executive-ready communication skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.

- High ownership mindset, excellent prioritisation skills, and comfort with ambiguity.
