**You'll make an impact by**
- You support the development and application of simulation models for thermal systems, such as heat pumps and district heating networks, by working with Python-based tools and libraries- Building on this, you assist in analyzing and improving steady-state and dynamic simulations to enable more accurate operation and optimization of energy systems- Furthermore, you contribute to the assessment of communication standards and open-source solutions for integrating heat pumps into electric grids for flexibility provision- In addition, you help develop standardized models for thermal storage units based on real laboratory plants, supporting their integration into optimal control strategies- Finally, you implement and test methods for forecasting thermal loads, leveraging both simple approaches and regression-based techniques

- **Education**: You are currently enrolled in a degree program in mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, control technology, or energy technology- **Experience and Skills**:- Proficient in software development, especially with Python- Quick comprehension of new Python libraries and frameworks- Solid understanding of energy technologies and thermodynamics and their modeling

- **Ways of Working**: You work independently, are eager to learn, and have strong analytical thinking skills- **Languages**: You have fluent English language skills
