How You’ll Make an Impact

* With your support in the field of design and product development, you will work in an international team to research the fundamentals of a new generation of products in the field of high-voltage technology.
* Performing FEM calculations and analyses for drive components of Substations
* Creation of dynamic and static strength verifications
* Calculation and design of bolted connections and welded constructions
* Evaluation of fatigue strength and durability of components and structures
* Optimizing components in terms of component strength and weight

What You Bring

* Completed university degree in mechanical engineering
* Very good knowledge in the field of design of GIS / AIS drive components, in the field of fatigue and fatigue strength and relevant standards, such as FKM-Guideline, Eurocode and VDI-Guidelines
* Deep knowledge in dynamic analysis and stress strength evaluations
* Experience with FEM software, such as ANSYS or COMSOL
* Independent, structured and careful way of working as well as ability to work in a team and enjoy working in a competent, committed team
* Fluent in German and English
