As part of our Propulsion & Energy Systems Department, you will be a key member of an engineering team working on demanding and diverse projects across various ship types. This role offers you the chance to apply and expand your expertise while collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- You plan and design multiple ship projects and different ship types
- You prepare and coordinate technical room arrangements, piping diagrams, capacity calculations or functional system description
- You develop approval drawings and coordinate with owners, classification societies, and shipyards
- You prepare technical specifications of equipment, evaluate quotations, and review technical proposals
- You contribute proactively to the decision-making process on technical topics
- You ensure that technical and commercial parameters align with client requirements
YOUR PROFILE
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or ship operating technology
- You have at least three years of relevant experience in shipbuilding or marine supply industry
- You are proficient in relevant software (MS Office, AutoCAD; optional: CADMATIC, AVEVA)
- You have strong knowledge of classification rules and statutory regulations (e.g., IACS, DNV, LR)
- You communicate fluently in English and German (written and spoken)
- You work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
- You have a passion for maritime innovation and an openness to new technologies and developments
