The FIWARE Foundation is a non-profit organization that drives the definition of open standards and promotes the introduction of open standards. These are implemented using open source technologies and reference architectures to facilitate the development of smart digital solutions in various areas based on FIWARE technology. The Foundation achieves this through the support of a rapidly growing global community that shares the FIWARE vision and actively supports making FIWARE the open source technology of choice for industry, governments, universities and associations. FIWARE is now the world's leading open source technology in the smart city sector.
Founded in 2016, the association counts Atos, aws, Engineering, NEC, Red Hat and Telefónica among its platinum members and currently employs around 45 people.
**Your mission**
As an Office and Accounting Manager (m/f/d) at the FIWARE Foundation, you will organize our documents and finances and work with external accounting. You will also support correspondence, managing and coordinating appointments, assisting colleagues with a wide range of administrative issues and processes and general office management.
**Your tasks**
● Preparatory accounting: You record incoming invoices and receipts, reliably process them and work with the accounting department for the monthly financial statements (DATEV)
● Administration: Independent performance of administrative tasks (written and telephone correspondence, filing, data maintenance), mail processing and distribution
● Assistance: You will provide support to the BOO colleagues, the administration and coordination of appointments, travel bookings and invoicing with a wide range of administrative issues and office matters
● Office management: You welcome guests, prepare for and follow up on meetings (prepare and clean the meeting space with drinks, coffee, snacks where appropriate), coordinate courier and supplier services and order office supplies
**Your profile**
● You have successfully completed commercial training or a comparable qualification and experience in preparatory accounting with at least 2 years of professional experience
● You have very good communication skills, a high degree of flexibility and a professional demeanour and impress with your trustworthy, committed and loyal personality
● You are characterized by a high level of service orientation and enjoy supporting your team and are willing to provide cross-departmental support
● You have an independent, structured and autonomous way of working and a talent for organization
● You are confident in using all Microsoft Office as well as Google Suite applications
● You have an open, communicative demeanour as well as a good way of expressing yourself and have very good written and spoken German and English skills (working language is English)
