We are looking for a high-calibre candidate who can be on the ground to set up the operations of the distribution centre and workshop site in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
**KEY REQUIREMENTS:**
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse operations management
- Background from the woodworking industry, handicraft, metal processing, precision, or cutting tools will be ideal
- Native German and Business English communication skills
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
- This position will help the company find a suitable building/site as well as setting up the production processes and warehouse operations
- Oversee daily operations, design processes, and optimise workflows to maximise productivity, capacity, efficiency, and profits across all business functions
- Assign tasks and carry out operations within the workshop and warehouse
- Improve operation processes to increase smooth processes, productivity, and efficiency, to meet business objectives and maintain operational excellence.
- Establish performance metrics to monitor KPIs
- Formulate and implement company policies and ensure compliance
- Prepare and manage budgets
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient operations and best practices
- Build teams, including involvement in human resources processes such as recruitment, manpower planning, training, performance evaluation, retention and engagement, etc.
**REQUIREMENTS:**
- Proven expertise in operation setup and implementation, process optimisation, productivity improvement, continuous improvement, or cost reduction
- Experience in establishing business operations from scratch would be advantageous
- Demonstrated motivation, passion, and commitment to operational excellence
- Team building experience
- Eligible to work in Germany
