The successful applicant will be encouraged and supported to achieve a doctoral degree.Start date: as soon as possibleRemuneration/Rates: EG 13 (TV-L)
Tasks:
Development of robust methods for biomarker quantification of preclinical photoacoustic data based on stochastic numerical mouse models. - Independent scientific research within the project - Publication of results in international peer-reviewed journals - Presentation of findings at national and international conferences - Co-supervision of bachelor's and master's students - Participation in group seminars and project meetings
Profile: - Completed master's degree in computer science, biomedical engineering, medical physics, applied mathematics, or a related field - Solid knowledge of deep learning and image processing - Experience with Python and common machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch) - Desirable: - Experience with photoacoustic or optical imaging - Knowledge of stochastic modelling or numerical simulation - Experience with medical or biomedical image segmentation - Experience handling preclinical or experimental imaging data
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently - Team player with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration - Good communication skills in English spoken and written (Level C1) - Willingness to collaborate with experimental partners
