# Professorship (W2) for Nonfictional Content Production with a Focus on Moving Images

## Your duties include
-
- Representing the field of journalism in cross-media production and applied research in our faculty of media – primarily in our multimedia and communication degree programme
- Representing sustainable journalism under the changed conditions of digital transformation and the use of AI in everyday editorial work
- Teaching basic journalism subjects and production-oriented modules (e.g. vertical storytelling)
- Practice-oriented teaching in German and English as well as in digital formats (e-learning, blended learning)
- Content-related and strategic further development of the areas of expertise with a special focus on digitalisation and artificial intelligence
- High-quality supervision of practical, bachelor's and master's theses as well as doctoral dissertations
- Proactive involvement in research and development activities
- Commitment to establishing new international partnerships and maintaining existing ones
- Active and interdisciplinary participation in the academic self-administration of the university
## You offer
- A university degree in journalism/communication sciences or a field directly related to the advertised position is preferred
- Confident command of journalistic skills
- In-depth knowledge and many years of practical experience in the field of moving images and forms of cross-media and digital storytelling
- Excellent expertise in creating social media content and mobile reporting
- Knowledge of current trends in AI-supported media production
- Networks and contacts in production companies and moving image editorial offices
- Very good English skills with the ability to teach in English and produce content in English
- Enthusiasm for sharing your practical experience in teaching and applied research. Enjoyment of communication and creative collaboration with aspiring journalists

- Completed university degree
- Pedagogical aptitude
- Excellent academic achievements in research and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent academic qualification
- Special achievements in the application or development of academic knowledge and methods in a minimum of five years of work experience, which must have been acquired after completion of the university degree and of which at least three years must have been acquired outside the university sector. If, over a period of at least five years, a considerable portion of your work involved a cooperation between a university and a non-academic employer, this time may be considered to meet the requirements for non-academic work experience in special cases (pursuant to Article 57 (3) Sentence 1 No. 3 of the Bavarian Higher Education Innovation Act (BayHIG)).
