**Job Description**
As an EMEA Regional Leader (m/f/diverse) you are responsible for disciplinary and functional leadership of central EMEA team as well as regional plants from all group sectors of AUMOVIO. You're setting goals aligned on the regional customs strategy and track their fulfillment towards successful execution. You lead regional performance projects and risk management activities to control, ensure and enhance compliance and financial business value. You act as a regional customs performance controller, being responsible for measuring and reporting of potentials, risks or improvements on financial and conform performance and customs budget, customs flat rates, usage of existing financial potentials and initiatives and together with your team lead comprehensive EMEA stakeholder activities.
Your key responsibilities include the following:
**Leadership & Communication**
- Provide disciplinary and functional leadership to the central EMEA customs team, including managers, coordinators, and specialists
- Offer proactive functional guidance to regional plants across all Continental sectors through EMEA calls, gap analyses, best‑practice sharing, and alignment with the Global Customs Group
**Compliance & Performance**
- Serve as the primary contact for customs performance analysis, customs controlling, customs valuation, and flat‑rate topics
- Support transfer pricing activities and lead regional customs risk management
**Strategy & Business Value**
- Monitor customs performance across regional teams and plants, assessing its impact on EBIT and cash flow
- Track legal changes, evaluate associated risks, and lead mitigation activities
- Communicate performance opportunities and risk management actions to the EMEA community and ensure implementation across all plants
**Project Management**
- Set team goals, assign projects, and oversee progress
- Report achievements, risks, escalations, and project status using KPIs, one‑pagers, roadmaps, and milestone tracking
**Quality & Process Management**
- Identify improvement opportunities related to compliance, financial value, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction
- Conduct industry benchmarking and prepare business cases and strategic presentations for management
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, digitalization, KPI measurement, and compliance
- Ensure harmonization of KPIs and support process standardization across all EMEA plants and sectors
**Stakeholder & Supplier Management**
- Lead stakeholder engagement with divisions, BAs, BUs, and plants across EMEA
- Collaborate closely with procurement, production, customer logistics, supply chain, sales, and other internal partners
**Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement**
- As a key contributor to customs excellence, monitor customs performance and define KPIs in collaboration with the customs controlling team, brokers, SSC, and IT
- Drive optimization and digitalization initiatives together with the Global Customs IT team
**Risk Management**
- Lead EMEA customs risk management activities, including analysis and reporting (TCEC, GRC)
**Qualifications**
The ideal candidate (m/f/diverse) will possess the following qualifications:
- Academic degree or equivalent qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a customs‑related EMEA environment:
Customs Processing, Customs Regulations, Customs Valuation and Customs Facilitations
- Substantial experience in SAP
- Basic knowledge in Reporting Technologies (Data Lake, Microsoft Power BI, or similar)
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a high level of proficiency
- Fluent English language skills (both written and spoken)
- Very good knowledge of Quality Management
- Leadership – EMEA (Expert)
- Expert level skills in leadership, strategy development, as well as Task Force Management and Risk Communication
- Expert level in Project and Process Management – EMEA (Expert)
- Expert level in Internal and External Stakeholder Management – EMEA (Expert)
