Die Stelle ist befristet bis 31.10.2029.The Chair of Scientific Information Analytics, headed by Prof. Dr. Bela Gipp (GippLab — https://gipplab.uni-goettingen.de), conducts research at the intersection of computer science, data science, and information science. Natural language processing (NLP) based on Large Language Models (LLM) is a particular research focus of the chair.


Your Profile:

A Ph.D. (or near completion) in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) or Generative AI.
A strong track record of first-author publications (at least 3 publications) in top-tier NLP and AI venues (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, JAIR, COLING)
Proven proficiency in NLP downstream tasks (e.g., word sense disambiguation, summarization), as proven by publications.
Active participation in the research community, including serving as a reviewer for major international conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP).
Proven proficiency in supervising and mentoring B.Sc. and M.Sc.students, specifically guiding their research publications.
Proven experience in organizing or managing events (e.g., staff in workshops, volunteers in scientific events) related to programming, hackathons, product development, innovation, or similar.
Very good command of English and German.
At least 3 years of industry experience (e.g., regular employee, student employee, internship).
Proven proficiency in translating theoretical research into production-ready AI applications or industry prototypes.
Interest in working with domain-specific, low-resource data.
A communicative, curious, and team-oriented mindset, with strong motivation to learn new concepts and technologies.
