**Tasks**
As a "**Senior AI Developer (m/f/d)",** you design and build high-performance AI and machine learning solutions for production use in enterprise environments. You conceptualize, implement, and optimize intelligent applications from data-driven services to generative AI use cases.
Your focus is on technical implementation: you translate business requirements into robust, scalable software solutions and ensure that AI models are efficiently integrated into existing systems. You combine modern software engineering with a strong understanding of machine learning and data architectures.
Working closely with Data Scientists, Architects, MLOps, and Cloud teams, you develop solutions that are not only innovative but also stable, maintainable, and production-ready.
- You develop AI and machine-learning-based applications and services for production enterprise environments.
- You implement, integrate, and optimize ML models and generative AI components within existing system landscapes.
- You build scalable backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines for AI workloads.
- You collaborate closely with Data Scientists and transform models into stable application components.
- You optimize AI applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- You ensure that software engineering best practices such as clean code, testing, and version control are consistently applied.
- You work with cloud-based AI services and integrate them into existing platform architectures.
- You consider security, data protection, and governance requirements when developing AI-powered systems.
- You contribute to architectural decisions and provide technical input for the evolution of AI platforms.
- You work in international teams and support proof-of-concepts as well as the further development of existing solutions when needed.
**Requirements**
- Several years of experience in software development, ideally with a focus on AI or data-driven applications
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
- Experience with machine learning frameworks or AI libraries
- Strong understanding of modern software architectures, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience building scalable applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of data processing, model integration, and production-ready ML implementation
- Experience with version control, testing, and structured development processes
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
- Experience working in international project or team environments
- Very good German and English language skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally in limited scope
This position can also be filled on a part-time basis.
