Whether in a hospital, airport or high-security company: From planning and installation to maintenance, we ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness with state-of-the-art systems for access control and workforce management as well as integrated security solutions.
We are seeking a **Senior Firmware Engineer** to lead our firmware and edge applications into a new era. This is a high-impact role for an individual with a deep understanding of embedded systems and IoT.
### **Your Responsibilities**
- **Lead the replatforming** of our firmware and edge applications to a single, unified EdgeX platform.
- **Grow the Edge platform** by integrating new devices, expanding edge capabilities, and implementing AI on the edge.
- **Actively participate in the architecture board**, shaping the future of our technology and fostering in-house expertise.
### **Key Qualifications**
- **Programming**: C++, Java
- **Operating Systems**: Linux, Yocto, Android, Device Drivers, Bootloaders
- **Communication**: BLE, Wi-Fi, NFC, LTE interfaces; deep understanding of OSI layer protocols
- **IoT Ecosystem**: Zero-touch provisioning, OTA updates, Secure Boot implementation
- **APIs**: REST API, Event-driven systems
- **Business Domains**: Access control, Time and attendance (nice to have)
- **Languages**: English (professional) is required; language skills in Spanish, German or Dutch are a plus
