You get to work on advancing power electronics used for Tesla products globally, thereby directly contributing to the acceleration of the world's transition to sustainable energy.
### What You’ll Do
* Start-to-finish hardware ownership: Specification, architecture, design, simulation, schematic, layout supervision, manufacturing, bringup, and validation of circuit boards
* Collaborate with PCB layout, firmware, mechanical, program management, and validation teams
* Thoroughly document design requirements, calculations, validation results, etc.
* Rapidly iterate as design requirements and product features mature over time
### What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or higher and 3+ years of relevant work experience
* Proficiency with DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices, along with a strong background in analog sensor integration and signal-conditioning circuit design
* Demonstrated expertise in designing digital communication buses such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, USB, SPI, and I2C
* Hands-on experience in designing printed circuit board-level power supplies using topologies like buck, boost, and flyback converters
* Comprehensive knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) layout, including power and ground plane definition, thermal management, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) optimization
* Proven application of design for testability (DFT) and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles in medium- to high-volume production environments
* Experience in development of digital and analog interfaces for test systems, especially (Labview, Matlab, Python) is a plus
* Preferred qualifications include a background in energy or EV charging infrastructure, along with familiarity in areas such as BMS, power electronics, high-speed digital design, or RF engineering
