**Job Description**

Be a **key player** in our ambitious global mission to revolutionize **modern cell production through cutting-edge device integration**. We are **building a state-of-the-art platform** that **connects and controls our industry-leading instrument portfolio** – and **we need your expertise to bring it to life**. As a part of our **agile Software Team**, you will play a key role in shaping our Cell Factory Software and in designing a feature-rich, multi-device cockpit that goes beyond the lab – delivering real-time insights anywhere they are needed.

- You will **translate architectural visions** into **robust, scalable code** and deliver **clean, maintainable** and **high-performance software in C++** (ideally C++17 or newer); furthermore you will **design** and **maintain APIs**, **protocols** and **data formats** that ensure seamless interoperability across systems.
- You will **collaborate closely** with **fellow developers**, offering support and sharing expertise while helping to shape innovative solutions for integrating internal and external systems.
- You will **work closely with interdisciplinary teams** in an **international** and **dynamic environment** – from IT and QA to Marketing and Customer Service.
- You will **explore emerging technologies**, **build new features** and continuously improve the functionality of our devices.
- In this role, you will also **use state-of-the-art AI coding tools** to optimize development processes and improve productivity.

**Qualifications**

- You have successfully finished your academic education in Computer Science, Natural Science (e.g. Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) or similar.
- You demonstrate strong expertise in **service‑oriented software development** and experience in **software for device integration**, **connectivity or synchronization**.
- Furthermore, you need to have exceptionally good knowledge of **modern C++** (preferably C++17 or newer) **or Golang** and be interested in continuing to develop in this language.
- Your **agile mindset enables you to break down requirements** and design them into manageable increments and pieces.
- Ideally, you bring proficiency in the following technologies: Typescript, message-based systems like NATS or MQTT, cloud solutions and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- **You are open to incorporating AI technologies into your daily development workflow** to boost productivity and innovation, including emerging tools such as **RooCode** or **Codex.**
- You have excellent problem solving and communication skills and **fluent English** (**at least on level B2**), German would be a plus.
