IT Project Coordinator (f/m/d) with Focus on Educational and Administrative AI Technologies

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week (100 %). The position is classified within remuneration group 13 of the collective wage agreement among the German federal states (“Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst der Länder- - TV-L).
Your Field of Work:
The Center for IT and Media Management (ZIM) is the central partner for information and communication technologies as well as multimedia production at the University of Potsdam. ZIM provides needs-based infrastructures, solutions, and consulting services to support the requirements of teaching, studies, research, and university administration. Our mission is to support excellent teaching and research through outstanding services. The position is assigned to the ZIM management as a staff role in AI project coordination.
Project organization: Coordination of the overall project in close consultation with the ZIM management; adaptive refinement of the project plan including schedule, tasks, responsibilities, and milestones; preparation and facilitation of project meetings; identification of relevant stakeholders and development of a strategy for their engagement and communication; preparation of project reports and documentation.
Technical design, methodological evaluation, and documentation of pilot scenarios for the application of AI technologies in studies, teaching, and administration: Empirically based requirements analysis to identify needs in studies, teaching, and administration; analysis and identification of technical requirements as well as the technical-didactic design and technical pilot implementation of concepts for AI-supported study, teaching, and administrative processes.
Independent and autonomous design of hands-on workshops on the opportunities and limitations of AI in studies, teaching, and university administration: Discipline- and administration-specific derivation of technical concepts for AI-supported teaching, learning, assessment, and administrative processes; iterative technical development of generalized best-practice scenarios for the use of AI in studies, teaching, and administration; identification of additional success factors and conditions for successful implementation, as well as further induction of specific use cases into generalized good-practice scenarios; and technical-didactic consulting for teaching staff and administrative employees on implementation options for specific application scenarios, including awareness-raising with regard to legal (e.g., data protection and the AI Act) and ethical perspectives.
Completed academic university degree (Diploma, Master-s, Magister, or State Examination), preferably in a computer science-related field or in educational, social, or administrative sciences, or in a comparable, relevant field of study
Understanding of the fundamental concepts and techniques of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
Knowledge in specific AI application areas such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Generation (NLG)
