Software Architect for Simulation Control Stations (all gender)

YOU...
- enjoy working closely with stakeholders and customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements
- define and architect the software foundation for simulation control stations, instructor operating stations and flight training debriefing stations
- create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using a custom GUI framework based on Qt/QML
- take responsibility for the overall technical structure - from organizing the codebase and defining interfaces to shaping how the software integrates with other systems
- design, develop, test and maintain software by writing clean, efficient and maintainable code, and follow software development best practices
- analyze and debug software issues and fix bugs
- proactively identify technical risks and challenges, and develop strategies to mitigate them
- actively contribute to agile ceremonies such as planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- take part in code reviews, helping to ensure high-quality, standards-compliant code
- ensure the software system design and architecture is scalable, maintainable and can be integrated with other systems
- support and mentor junior engineers, especially in the Qt/QML tech stack and the underlying architecture

YOU...
- hold a degree in computer science or a similar field
- bring experience in software development, particularly in frontend/UI applications
- are skilled in designing and implementing complex software architectures in collaborative settings
- have strong expertise in C and the Qt/QML technology stack
- are familiar with modern DevOps pipelines, containerization, and agile development methods
- speak fluent English - and ideally, you also have very good German skills
